The Beginning of NOW: GFT presented its Business Process Automation strategy for banking at ServiceNow forum in London
Following two successful days in Paris and Mainz, the ServiceNow forum headed to the heart of London for its last stop earlier this month.

Within the financial sector there are always new regulations creating demand for ongoing changes and innovations. ServiceNow’s forward thinking theme “The end of No. The beginning of Now.” encouraged NowForum visitors to share proven IT service automation strategies and to understand how peers transformed enterprise IT from the department of “no” to the department of “Now”. GFT and ServiceNow’s partnership provided a unique platform for IT professionals to exchange customer experience, latest news and new developments going forward.
As a silver sponsor of the event, GFT engaged with some 800 participants including many representatives of the major banks from The City. As one of ServiceNow’s core partners, GFT can support clients making full use of the ServiceNow platform and not reducing the scope only on ITSM processes. One of the main topics at the event was the business process automation using the ServiceNow platform. As an example, managing operational risk is key for the banking sector. At the event, GFT were demoing a bespoke Exception Handling app within ServiceNow that registers exceptions thrown out by an application and creates resolution workflows based on the exception nature, to finally republish again into the original system. Applications like this help organisations to get rid of spread sheets and manual email based workflows while reducing the operational risk. The applications being built by GFT take benefit of the OOTB platform features such us rich user interface, mobile access, full audit trail, reporting and much more without any additional coding.
Christopher Ortiz, Managing Director, GFT UK, said, “We are seeing in ServiceNow the perfect platform to automate critical business processes, specifically for financial institutions. Based on almost 15 years’ experience of data management in Investment Banking, we have built up a vast bank of expertise. This specialist team together with our ServiceNow skills helps us to provide tangible value to our customers, achieving to deliver more with less cost.”
