Meet the CODE_n13 Finalists – TheGreenAge
We’re down to the final 50 for CODE_n13 and the companies will be presented at CeBIT in Hannover in early March. The theme for year’s CODE_n Contest is Smart Solutions for Global Challenges and finalists have had to demonstrate they offer an IT-based concept for sustainable energy supply and usage. We’d like to introduce you to the UK finalists, starting with TheGreenAge.

An international team, TheGreenAge is aiming to become the no.1 place for all your energy efficiency and renewable technology needs. It brings together easy-to-understand information and first-rate suppliers in a friendly community in order to offer the following;
1. Easy to install energy efficiency measures which save money,
2. New clean energy-generating technologies and
3. Solutions to lower your carbon footprint.
For example, GreenHome offers a range of easily installed measures to save energy, from a light bulb to a fully integrated Solar PV system, which could mean you never have to pay an electricity bill again! For businesses, GreenCommercial offers information on solar, geo-thermal, wind; wave, nuclear and also hydroelectric power, one of the few currently viable solutions for storing large quantities of electrical energy for peak demand.
TheGreenAge has a more extensive remit than just this though; it looks at greener and smarter travel options, the impact of legislation on consumers and the renewables industry in general. It also considers the future of green technology. The company will also be launching an innovative carbon offsetting shop that allows consumers to shop as normal, but in the process offset carbon – at no extra cost.
As sponsors of CODE_n13, the GFT team is looking forward to seeing the entrepreneurial, digital pioneers at The Green Age showcased in the CODE_n Hall (16) at CeBIT. Come and visit GFT and The Green Age there!
